Penguin and their imprints have a long history of working with luminary creatives to produce books with enduring design value. Some of you may know I am a big fan of the penguin grid and so I was super excited to discover the V&A museums things magazine had a current project that celebrated the art and design of books... the pelican project documents Pelican book covers by decade and year. Showing not only the breadth of titles published but also documenting the visual advancements/design progression of the publishing house. This is such a great resource, sure to excite the curious creative mind!

In further investigating the pelican project I stumbled across the 'untitled project' an ongoing series of painted wooden sculptures by Conrad Bakker for The Utah Museum Of Fine Arts which assume the form of classic books. These artworks are sure to make any book, print or type lover swoon!
