I took part in Elle Luna's Moma 100day project the above video is a speedy timelapse (excuse my fingers!) collecting the outcomes of my Moma 100days exploration. Holding my self accountable and turning up to the page each day was really challenging!
It took me 117days to complete 100 days of counting in pencil + several months to do anything with them(oops!). Some days the drawing seemed like a chore others I was really engaged and enjoying it. And as a landmark for context on day 64 I was feeling incredibly sad about zapfs passing (*+^~!#*).
These sketches were not an exercise in design or polish (as evidenced by smudges eraser marks and general scruffiness!) They were instead a valuable exercise in creative fitness, routine/discipline, play and learning. Since completing the project I have been trying to complete a type cooker sketch 2 or 3 times a week to keep drawing and I am going to set myself a new pencil challenge in the new year.
