Following on from my previous #fontmarathon post... Meet Terry junior. The fun and friendly face Terrance Weinzierl created during this weeks font marathon.
"Imperfect, raw, with a gentle sweetness to perfectly suit designs for children" the brush work gives Terry's characters a spontaneity and movement. Terrance notes the importance of the analogue production, drawing by hand with a brush gives you a unique set of curves bumps and terminals - a character you cant achieve (easily) with digital drawing tools.
I downloaded both fonts (Terry junior and Northstream wind) yesterday and enjoyed playing with them. I particularly liked the alternate caps in Terry Juniors character set. They allow you to emulate the variation of hand lettering - and to play with pairings to achieve a great relationship between forms.
It is a wonderful face (especially given the time constraints!) you can test Terry junior out for yourself here!
