This ingenious Masters Thesis explores time, motion, materiality and production methods to great effect! The project deliberately uses traits and vernacular from the digital environment and translates them to analogue media.
By the way begins with a digital modular typographic system which is produced as a plastic font using 3D printing. The physical type is then laboratory tested using a range of analogue mediums and techniques. Each test is filmed and then slowed down and speed up to simulate the effect of time dilation and distortion.
