I buy a lot of books (I actually wrote a book purchasing clause into my wedding vows which thankfully my husband agreed we would always have enough shelf space to accommodate) - most I read as soon as I can but I confess some are still in cello wrappers! Thanks to twitter I recently learned there's a Japanese word for the stack of books that you've purchased but not yet read: tsundoku. I love it - although I plan to read more and stack less!
