Auckland: Writing for Designers workshop

Design Assembly warmly welcomes award-winning journalist, Michelle Duff, and Creative Director, Vaughn Davis, to co-facilitate this one-day Auckland workshop helping you to further develop your design writing skills:

This full-day workshop will teach you how to be a good writer both for commercial application in design practice and in developing your own voice as a design writer.

With two expert sessions in the morning, and an afternoon peer-to-peer session, you will come away from the day having learnt how to:

  • Use writing better as a tool to sell ideas / designs commercially to clients
  • Have an understanding of basics
  • How to write a blog piece and what’s different about writing for the web
  • Start work on developing your own voice and point of view

You will need to come to the workshop with a piece of writing that you have started on, to share and work with your peers on. Following this workshop, writing will continue with your peers in an online environment to complete a piece of writing for publication on www.designassembly.org.nz

A follow-up evening session will take place on Thursday 10 March from 7pm–9pm
